Boardserv was founded by Roxanne Bain. Roxanne started Boardserv with small and medium-sized businesses in mind. Too often, smaller corporates do not have access to top-notch advice and Roxanne is passionate about changing that.
A qualified attorney, Roxanne has worked at top tier local (Big 5) and international law firms, specialising in mergers and acquisitions, where she worked on numerous complex transactions involving disposals, acquisitions and corporate restructurings.
She also spent a year teaching at the University of Pretoria’s law faculty, while completing her Masters degree in corporate law, which she received with distinction.
Roxanne later joined the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa, which is the professional body for chartered company secretaries and chartered governance professionals, first as their Assessment Manager and then as their Technical Adviser.
